In recognition of the innovative and creative public spaces across our cities, towns and communities, the International Cities, Town Centres and Communities (ICTC) Society are pleased to host Placemaking Week Australia in Parramatta, NSW in 2022 with dates to be confirmed.

Placemaking Week Australia is about showcasing great public spaces, building conversations, highlighting community driven placemaking and best practice placemaking initiatives.

Placemaking is essential in transforming spaces in our cities and towns to encourage community engagement and interactions, while fostering healthier, socially and economically sustainable places.

The ICTC Society is pleased to work in conjunction with the City of Parramatta, as the host city, to hold a number of Placemaking Week activities.

Join us as we celebrate outstanding placemaking across Australia and Internationally.

Placemaking Week Activities

Placemaking Week Australia is being held in conjunction with the 20th ICTC Conference being held in Parramatta, NSW in 2022 with dates being released in late 2021. This is an opportunity for industry experts to come together to discuss, interact and showcase best practice, learn from one another and experience first-hand the challenges and opportunities.

Some of the activities planned in Parramatta to celebrate Placemaking Week Australia include:

Be an Ambassador

Are you passionate and motivated about placemaking in your city, town centre or community? You are invited to join our network of people who want to better their community and public spaces as a 2022 Placemaking Week Ambassador.

ICTC are looking for individuals with significant influence that can help build awareness of best practice Placemaking initiatives and to help us share and distribute transferable ideas and content to other communities to amplify and celebrate Placemaking Week in Australia.

Ambassadors serve as positive advocates and use their own channels to write, publish, and share Placemaking Week Australia related content. If you are interested in becoming an ambassador, please apply below.

Not only will you be joining a community of like-minded people, you will be recognised on the Placemaking Week Australia website and social media. Have your content shared on the ICTC blog (pending approval), plus access exclusive discounts to Placemaking Week Australia events.
